What drives the number
Material — aluminum is the value pick, copper and steel run far higher. Roof complexity — cut-up rooflines mean more corners, miters, and downspouts. Height and access — two-story runs and steep-pitch adjacent roofs cost more in labor. Downspouts — each downspout adds material and hangers.
